EMS Providers who are considered covered entities under HIPAA have many legal compliance obligations when it comes to HIPAA, including ensuring patient data is private and secure, guarding against the potential for data breaches and cyberattacks, appro-priately interacting with police, and more. To help address these risks, MVRMA is hosting HIPAA Compliance for EMS Providers. This session will cover the HIPAA rules in a practical way, including:

• Breach Notification
• Cybersecurity
• Enforcement
Our trainer is Jennifer Michell with Dinsmore. She has more than 25 years of experience with HIPAA, as well as complex health care litigation, cybersecurity incident response, and regulatory compliance.
