Authentic Leadership |
Presenter: Cindy Schisler, Wright State University Whether in a formal leadership position or doing your best to be a leader at work, in your community, or at home discovering your authentic leadership is important.Becoming an authentic leader is not easy. Authentic leaders demonstrate a passion for their purpose, practice their values consistency, and lead with their hearts as well as their heads. They establish long-term, meaningful relationships and have the self-discipline to get results. They know who they are. All of us have a spark of leadership in us. Whether it is in business, government or as a non-profit volunteer. The challenge is to understand ourselves well enough to discover where we can use our leadership gifts to serve others. In this interactive and insightful workshop, we will do the following:• Identify what characteristics and trait authentic leaders have • Identify, through an assessment, your qualities and strengths as an authentic leader • Identify our own personal values and how we use them to sustain and manage personal credibility • Discuss how to create a personal vison for the future and how do we engage others • The Johari window- our willingness to ask for and accept feedback for personal growth |
