MVCC Provides 12,000 Hours of Programming for First Six Months of 2009
Viewers throughout the Miami Valley had more choices than ever for watching original, local television programming from the region; the four community access television channels of the Miami Valley Communications Council (MVCC) provided over 12,000 hours of programming content during the first half of 2009.
The Miami Valley Communications Council MVCC operates four channels:
GATV5: Government programming for Centerville, Germantown, Miamisburg and West Carrollton
GATV6: Government programming for Kettering, Moraine, Oakwood and Springboro
EATV21: Educational programming for seven school districts and all other educational entities
CATV991: Community programming provided by residents of the Miami Valley region.
These four channels cablecast seven days a week, 24-hours a day on Time Warner Cable in the South Dayton viewing area (with CATV991 being seen throughout the entire Miami Valley region), and on AT&T via Channel 99. Additionally, MVCC streams all four channels online at www.mvcc.net and offers dozens of on-demand online programs, which includes over a year of past council meetings from eight municipalities.
