This free class from the Ohio Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Center combines two popular topics in the field of workforce development: Generational Communication, and Emotional Intelligence Competencies. There are currently up to four different generations of employees in a typical workplace: Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y. A helpful skill for career development is being able to communicate effectively, and work productively, with co-workers and customers from other generations.

This session will cover:

  • The trends and events that influence each generation
  • Insights into the different work habits, values and motivational factors of each generation
  • Overview of the 12 competencies of the Emotional and Social Intelligence Model
  • E.I. competencies and how awareness can assist employees in working and communicating more effectively with their co-workers and customers.
Who Should Attend:

Anyone who needs or wants to improve their skills working with generations and understand how emotional intelligence can improve communication.
