2008 Supervisor Training Program PDF  | Print |

The Supervisory Development Program is a comprehensive training program. The program is excellent for seasoned supervisors and managers as well as new or soon to be supervisors. Those who attend will learn the skills needed to be effective managers and supervisors. The program consists of 12 courses. Program topics include: how to lead and motivate employees, methods of identifying communication styles, how to give constructive feedback, how to deal with emotional behavior, and much more.

The trainee commitment is to attend one full day (usually Thursdays) twice a month for approximately three months. Each day of attendance will cover two courses – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

In order to allow for flexibility we have set up two groups. If an attendee in Group A misses a day they can attend the same program when it’s held in Group B.  In order to have two groups, we must have a minimum of 12 per group. If we don’t reach the minimum 12 per group, we will only have one group.

Due to increased costs we have adjusted our fees accordingly. However, if you are a full member of MVCC, MVRMA or Center for Local Government we are pleased to offer an early registration fee discount.
