Westerfield Drive was once an access lane to a farm with an address of 74 W. Franklin Street.  This farmhouse was built in the 1870s. Manuel turned the farmland behind his house into a limestone quarry. The quarry provided stone for houses, bridges, monuments, and public buildings in Dayton and Centerville. The house now serves as the office for the Country Village Apartments.
