Moraine offers incentive to DMAX engine plant |
In late January, the Ohio Controlling Board approved $300,000 to help persuade DMAX to build a new engine at its Dryden Road engine plant.
Days later, Gov. Ted Strickland and other state officials were at the plant to hail an announcement that General Motors Corp. would invest $69 million into the plant — a joint GM-Isuzu venture — to make a Duramax diesel truck engine that meets more stringent federal emissions standards.

Moraine Trash Collection Day Change |

Beginning May 1, 2008 – Moraine’s Trash Collection will be on Thursdays (NOT Wednesdays), EXCEPT when there is a major holiday. On weeks with a major holiday occurring, the weekly trash pick up will be on Friday. To schedule a bulk pickup call Waste Management at (800) 343-6047 by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to your Thursday service day. For white goods and appliances, you must call before the third Wednesday of the month, and pickup will be on the third Saturday of the month. Please place yard waste a few feet from your regular refuse and recyclable containers.

On January 24, 2008, a business with a long history in the City welcomed their new Grand Opening with cheer and happiness. It was not long ago that Prime Time Party Rental was feeling the hardships of a fire that devastated their former building at 2104 West Dorothy Lane. In the interim, owner Bart Nye and his staff persevered by renting adjacent temporary space during the construction of their new facility. |
