Built before 1920, this was the first automobile service station in Centerville. Gasoline pumps were located on S. Main St. at the curb. A portion of the building was used to repair vehicles. The owner, Byron Himes, is said to have owned the first automobile in Centerville, a 1912 Buick. This building was later used as a meat locker and is now an interior design studio.
