Hole's Creek
Park is undeveloped. It sits just north of Silvercreek Park, both along
Hole's Creek. Silver Creek was the original name of Hole's Creek. Dr. John Hole settled in Washington Township in 1797 on land along a good sized stream which he named Silver Creek. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Sugar Creek in Centerville (now Cross Point Church). He was the first person baptized in the newly formed church. He was baptized in Silver Creek and it was renamed Hole's Creek in his honor in the early 1800s. |
